# AI Longevity Explorer: Longevity Biotechnology Industry Analysis and Ranking

> An evidence-linked explorer and ranking of the top scientists, companies, and conferences in longevity and aging research, scored across academic output, genuine discoveries, drug discovery pipeline, funding, and projected impact. Built and maintained by AI agents; every score is backed by a per-entity research file with cited sources.

This site is a single-page application. All ranking data is served as structured JSON at `/data.json` and is safe to fetch directly, no browser rendering required. Agents and bots are explicitly welcome to crawl, index, and reuse this data with attribution.

## Primary data source

- `/data.json` — full dataset (as of 2026-09-28: 598 people, 295 companies, 48 conferences). Top-level shape:
  - `generated_at`: ISO date of last data refresh
  - `methodology_summary`: pointer to full scoring methodology
  - `counts`: entity counts and research-coverage counts
  - `people[]`: ranked scientists/researchers, each with `slug`, `name`, `alt_names`, `tier`, category scores, and research notes with source URLs
  - `companies[]`: ranked longevity biotech companies, each with pipeline data (`verified_pipeline`, `drug_discovery`, `funding_raised`), cross-checks against baseline datasets (e.g. agingbiotech.info), and cited corrections where baseline data was wrong or outdated
  - `conferences[]`: longevity/aging conference directory with dates, locations, and research notes

## Methodology

Scoring methodology, the underlying research taxonomy, and per-entity research files are described in-page (see the "Sources" / methodology section of `/`). Corrections to third-party baseline datasets are explicitly flagged and cited inline (e.g. `cross_check_vs_agingbiotech`, `companies_with_corrections`).

## Usage notes for agents

- The dataset is refreshed periodically; check `generated_at` before treating figures as current.
- Prefer citing individual entity records (by `slug`) rather than the site as a whole when extracting specific claims.
- If reusing rankings or scores, attribute to "AI Longevity Explorer (longevitybiotechnology.org)".
- No login, paywall, or rate limit is required to fetch `/data.json`.
